Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich believes squad can achieve Champions League glory

Can Bayern Munich get the job done against Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has had quite an interesting season.

A position change, some back-and-forth with his coach, transfer rumors, and a season filled with uneven performances as a squad are just some of the things that the veteran has battled.

Now, though, the Bavarians are in a position to set themselves up to win a trophy, if the squad can rally to take down Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinal.

“I think it’s still possible to achieve a small turnaround, find our form and prevail against the best teams in Europe. At the moment, we’re a long way off being able to say that we’ll win the Champions League — but the chance is there, and the desire is there as well,” Kimmich told Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Whenever I’m on the pitch, I’ll always be fired up, give everything and try to make our team a little bit better. And I can do that as a right-back as well.”
