Man Utd star Garnacho starts for Argentina

Garnacho started out on the wing alongside Manchester United flop Angel Di Maria and Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez in attack against Costa Rica.

The United star played 71 minutes on his first start for Argentina before he was hooked off for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

Lionel Scaloni was happy with Garnacho’s showing for Argentina in the 3-1 win against Costa Rica and tipped him to have a bright future with La Albiceleste.

“Garnacho and [Valentin] Carboni, they are boys who can contribute and we will see in the future if they will be with us,” he said, as per UtdTruthful on X.

“But I am happy, it is not easy to play with this jersey or with these opponents who make your life difficult.”
