Manchester United have welcomed several of the team’s first team stars back to Carrington ahead of the weekend.

Manchester United are ramping up preparations for the team’s Premier League clash at Brentford this coming weekend.

The team face Brentford on Saturday night and despite a busy international break, it was important the players got back to business and refocused on club action.

Club captain Bruno Fernandes is one of those who was present at Carrington on Thursday, after leaving the Portugal squad early and getting a much-needed rest. But he was joined by several who played the midweek matches too.

Zach Baumann joins Manchester United training

With several stars still processing back to Carrington, there was an extra opportunity for some of the young players to train alongside Bruno Fernandes and co.

One of these was promising 17-year-old talent Zach Baumann, who has been making bright progress for the academy teams this season.

Baumann is a central midfielder who has made 12 appearances for the under-18s this season, scoring once.

He recently made his under-21s debut, and managed to get on the scoresheet too. He has three under-21s appearances now.

While too soon to laud Baumann as the next Kobbie Mainoo, it is promising to see yet another midfield talent making good progress and getting some time on the training ground with Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff.

Andre Onana, Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot were among the first team stars present, along with Antony, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Omari Forson, Willy Kambwala, Alejandro Garnacho and Christian Eriksen were all pictured, while Mason Mount and Scott McTominay were also involved.

Amad was also seen pictured, however, he will be unavailable against Brentford as he is serving a one-match ban.

Youngster Harry Amass, Ethan Wheatley, Finley McAllister and Louis Jackson all featured too, joining Baumann by mixing in with the first team squad.
