Since Erik ten Hag has been at Manchester United, he has got rid of a lot of deadwood.

The Manchester United first-team squad has completely transformed since the Dutchman’s arrival. We’ve seen a plethora of players come and go around Carrington.

Some players sold have been missed. The likes of Edinson Cavani, Cristiano Ronaldo, and hell, even Wout Weghorst would have come in handy this season with a lack of goals when Rasmus Hojlund isn’t firing.

There are a few actually that have gone on to rebuild their career at new clubs, and you know what, good for them.

Anthony Elanga is loving life at Nottingham Forest. He’s become a really vital player for the Premier League outfit, playing 31 matches, scoring five goals and grabbing eight assists.

It’s almost poetic that Manchester United are having severe problems with their right-winger when Elanga has locked it down for his new club very nicely.

Fred

Fred has been a revelation for Fenerbache. They love him over there. After five years around Carrington which definitely divided Manchester United fans’ opinions, he switched to Turkey last summer.

He is arguably their most important player, with a ludicrous win rate.

Teden Mengi

Another Premier League star who’s having a ridiculously good season, Teden Mengi has really shown what he’s capable of at Luton Town.

His fine performances have earned him a call-up to England’s youth sides. Good for him.

But arguably none are thriving more than Andreas Pereira.

Andreas Pereira has best game yet after Manchester United exit

A man who has completely transformed his career since departing Manchester, Andreas Pereira has been sensational for Fulham. The Cottagers picked him up for just £10m. A bloody bargain.

He’s proven his worth all season, but on Sunday he had his finest game in a Fulham shirt. He was unplayable as Fulham won 2-0 against West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Pereira deserves all his success. He got his head down, worked hard and has cemented himself as a fine asset to Marco Silva’s side. Well in, pre-season Pirlo!
