And the moves have saw ex Hoops stars win trophies such as the Champions League and the FA Cup.

And another ex Celtic player has just landed a major and historic trophy with his club.

Jeremie Frimpong helped Bayer Leverkusen overcome Werder Bremen by five goals to nil to hand the Germans their FIRST EVER Bundesliga title, sparking a pitch invasion.

And he can be sen enjoying the celebrations at the final whistle as he crowd surfed fans and poured beer over his teammates.

The young Dutch fullback spent two years in Glasgow with Celtic after being signed from Manchester City by Neil Lennon.

He quickly became a mainstay in the starting lineup and became a fans' favourite.

And he won a domestic treble in his debut season while also picking up Young Player of the Year.

His stellar performances won him a move to Leverkusen in a deal that cost around £12million.

He hit the ground running in Germany, scoring nine goals and assisting nine from right back, increasing his reputation even more.

And at the beginning of this season he was rewarded with a new five year deal by newly hired coach Xabi Alonso to fend off a host of other clubs with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United keen.

And Frimpong has excelled under the management of the Spaniard, starting in 26 of their 29 UNBEATEN league games so far.

He has scored 12 goals and assisted 11 in all competitions as the Werkself sealed their first ever title with games to spare.

Founded in 1904 the club have had some success, winning the UEFA Cup in 1987/88 and they also picked up the German Cup in the 1992/93 season.

The closest they have come to a trophy since then came when they enjoyed a run to the Champions League final back in 2002 but fell at the final hurdle against Real Madrid.

The Bundesliga title is their first piece of silverware in over 30 years and their very first league title in their 120 year history.
