Jeff Stelling says Simon Jordan's suggestion of making Jose Mourinho England boss is 'absolute garbage'.
Mourinho is currently out of work having left Roma in January, however he has been linked with a potential move to Saudi Arabia.
talkSPORT host Jordan was discussing the former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham boss during the latest episode of Simon and Souness in which he revealed to Graeme Souness that he'd have him as the next England boss.
"I’d have him as England manager. I don’t care what other people think of him," he said.
“There’s a bunch of people who constantly deride him and make an observation that he’s negative and divisive – I think he’s a perennial winner.
“Whilst his time at Tottenham and Roma may make a different argument.”

Asked if he’d speak to him if he was the owner of a top club, Jordan said: “I would, I think you’d be stupid not to have a conversation with him.”
Responding to the clip on The Sports Breakfast, Stelling was having none of it, despite Mourinho's eight league titles and two Champions League wins.
“Absolute garbage," he started, smiling as he disagreed with his colleague. "He is negative, he is divisive and he WAS a winner – when was the last time he won something?"
Stelling will have deliberately overlooked the Conference League he won in 2022 with Roma.
