Liverpool signed him from Manchester United a few years ago, and now he may be the most in form player at the club.

April has been a difficult month for Liverpool at all levels of the club. The Reds were obliterated by Atalanta at first team level and suffered a disappointing defeat to Crystal Palace.

At academy level meanwhile Liverpool’s U18 side suffered an embarrassing 9-1 defeat to Manchester United. To make matters worse, they were playing at home at Kirkby as well.

But there have also been some positives like a 3-0 drubbing of Manchester United at Old Trafford by the club’s U21 side.

Amidst all the doom and gloom, one player has also stood out a lot over the last few weeks, and he’s continuing to catch the eye.

Why Kieran Morrison is the most in form player at Liverpool right now

Few players have been as impressive as Kieran Morrison at Liverpool in the last couple of months.

The 17-year-old has seven goals in his last nine matches for the club’s U18 side in the U18 Premier League. He’s also registered an assist in that period, for Liverpool’s only goal of the game in that 9-1 defeat to United.

Very composed on the ball, Morrison is such a gifted player and the way he is performing it’s difficult to argue against him being the most in form player at the club right now.

He just keeps scoring goals, and leading the club’s U18 team on his shoulders. Rightfully, he has been recognised recently at first team level as well and even trained with Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Who is Kieran Morrison?

Morrison is a Northern Ireland youth international who was on the books at Manchester United. However, he joined Liverpool as an U14 player and has made impressive strides since.

He has really burst into form this season at U18 level and has also made his debut for the club’s U21 side in the Premier League 2.

Morrison is known for his versatility, and he is capable of playing both in midfield or on the wing.

He is thought to be very highly rated by the club’s academy staff and is also expected to sign a new contract with Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano.
