Manchester United have been linked with a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, a target for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

A report from Give Me Sport claims that Manchester United are keeping tabs on Ivan Toney. But the Red Devils have doubts about signing the Brentford striker at the end of the season. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the 28-year-old as well, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Toney is expected to cost around £30-40 million this summer. The Englishman has established himself as a reliable performer in the Premier League, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for most clubs.

It is no surprise that Manchester United are looking to bring in a quality striker at the end of the season. Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund are the only reliable attackers at the club right now, and the Red Devils need more depth and quality in the final third if they want to compete for major trophies.

Toney is at the peak of his powers right now, and he will want to play for a big club. The striker will hope to join a club capable of winning major trophies, and a move to Manchester United will be an attractive proposition for him.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham need a striker as well

Arsenal want to sign a quality striker this summer. Gabriel Jesus has scored just four goals in the league this season, and Arsenal need an upgrade. Toney could prove to be the ideal fit for them in terms of playing style, and he will add more goals to the side as well.

Similarly, Chelsea will need to bring in an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson. The former Villarreal striker has been quite underwhelming in the Premier League this season, and Chelsea need a better player if they want to climb up the table and return to the UEFA Champions League.

Tottenham have been linked with a number of strikers recently. They chose not to replace Harry Kane at the start of the season and they have missed a clinical presence upfront. Although they have managed to get by without a recognised number nine this season, they will need a reliable finisher, especially if they manage to secure Champions League qualification for the next season.

Toney would be a quality acquisition for all four clubs, and it remains to be seen where he ends up. The 28-year-old striker is well settled in English football, and he can make an immediate impact if he joins either of the four clubs this summer. The reported £30-40 million asking price seems reasonable for a player of his quality, and he could justify the investment in the coming seasons.
