Manchester United suffered another frustrating result on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly Burnley.

Winger Antony had put the hosts ahead at Old Trafford, but a late Zeki Amdouni penalty earned the visitors a crucial point as they battle bravely against relegation.

The Red Devils have endured an underwhelming season so far and the draw against the Clarets only adds to the pressure on manager Erik ten Hag.

It has been suggested that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS could dismiss the Dutchman this summer, although that could depend on whether or not he can oversee victory in the FA Cup final next month.

Off the pitch, though, Ratcliffe and co could take advantage of their other investments to secure their first signing this summer.

As reported by The Express, the Red Devils could make a move to sign Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

Todibo is a target for Man United this summer

Ratcliffe and INEOS also own the French side, which could make a move for the centre-back quite straight forward.

The Frenchman is regarded as one of the best central defenders in Ligue 1, but he looks increasingly likely to leave Nice this summer having attracted interest from elsewhere.

It is claimed that United could make a move to sign the 24-year-old, who joined his current side from Spanish side Barcelona in 2021.

United are said to have been interested in the player for some time now, before Ratcliffe acquired his 27.7% stake in the club earlier this year.

The Premier League side considered a move for Todibo when Harry Maguire looked set to depart Old Trafford last year, although the proposed move ultimately fell through.

This summer United could once again be in the market for defensive reinforcements, with both Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane set to be out of contract at the end of the current campaign.
