“We have to assess”- Fresh injury blow as Erik ten Hag gives update on 10-goal Manchester United star ahead of FA Cup final

Fresh concerns for Manchester United with Scott McTominay injured during Burnley draw

Manchester United have received a fresh injury blow going into the last month of the season with midfield star Scott McTominay now sidelined.

The Scottish international picked up an injury during Erik ten Hag‘s side’s 1-1 draw against Burnley on the weekend and was replaced by Mason Mount in injury time.

Speaking to MUTV, the Dutch manager confirmed that the injury required more diagnosis and the Scotland international could be out for a while. McTominay’s energy levels will certainly be missed in the middle of the park.

“We have to assess this, to set the diagnosis.

“I don’t know in this moment to return [against Crystal Palace next month], I think it’s a little bit too quick turnaround.”

“I don’t know. You have seen he has a problem. We have to diagnose this and see what it is.”
