Two of the last three London derbies between the two sides have seen at least four goals scored, while Chelsea's last 11 matches in all competitions have seen 51 goals scored, averaging almost five goals per game.

Only two Premier League players have scored more goals in all competitions this season than Cole Palmer, who has 25 goals to his name, having bagged in each of his last seven league games at Stamford Bridge, including seven in his last two.

Meanwhile Son leads Tottenham's goal scoring charts for this season, his goal in Sunday's North London derby on Sunday afternoon his 16th of the season.

Chelsea head into Thursday night's derby having not won any of their last three matches, a run which has seen them exit the FA Cup at the semi final stage, and fall behind in their bid to qualify for European football next season.

Mauricio Pochettino's side's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday night leaves them ninth in the Premier League table, five points off the top seven and six off the top six, with Thursday's match being their game in hand.

The Blues are unbeaten in their last six matches at Stamford Bridge though, of which they've won five, and will take confidence into Thursday's derby having won their lost two home games 6-0 against Everton, and 4-3 against Manchester United.

Tottenham head into the Thursday's derby also looking for a bit of form, having lost their last two matches against Arsenal and Newcastle, which has left them in second fiddle in the race for the fourth and final Champions League qualifying place.

Ange Postecoglou's side remain fifth in the table but are now seven points behind Aston Villa with two games in hand, one coming on Thursday night and the other against a title-chasing Manchester City side in their penultimate outing of the season.

The north London side have won only one of their last seven matches away from home ahead of their trip across the capital, and with only win in their last four matches, Spurs will need to string a few wins together as soon as possible in order to pile the pressure on Aston Villa, who have an easier run in to the end of the season on paper.

Chelsea have lost just one of their last nine matches against Tottenham, who have won just once at Stamford Bridge in the last 16 years, and are winless in their last seven visits.
