Jadon Sancho has remained coy over whether he will remain at Borussia Dortmund next term.

The Manchester United winger joined the Bundesliga side on loan in January after a public falling out with Erik ten Hag had seen him made unavailable for selection at Old Trafford. Sancho has been a regular at the Westfalenstadion but enjoyed a limited impact with three goals and two assists across 17 appearances.

However, the 24-year-old drew rave reviews for his performance against PSG in the Champions League semi-final. The loanee became the first English player to produce more than 11 take-ons in a single match in Europe's premier competition, leaving a question over his future irresistable.

Sancho, who previously spent four years Dortmund before completing a £73million move to Manchester United, admitted he was pleased to be back in Germany. The ace suggested he didn't know what the future holds however.

He said: "Obviously i came here at 17 and they gave me the opportunity to play professional football so I'm just delighted with all staff and players that welcome me back."

Former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, then directly asked whether he would remain with the club. Sancho replied: "Who me? I really don't know? I'm just focused on the present right now."

The winger was also asked about whether a call-up could be on the cards for England's EURO 2024 campaign this summer. "I take it game by game and performances like today I hope it carries on," he said.

In addition to Schmeichel, Sancho was interviewed by a slightly worse-for-wear Jamie Carragher on Wednesday evening. The former Liverpool defender admitted to being eight pints down after spending time in The Yellow Wall as part of CBS coverage.

Carragher left colleagues Micah Richards, Thierry Henry and Alessandro Del Piero in stitches in the studio as he undertook his post-match duties. Asked if he was in any state to work, Carragher quipped: “That's actually a good point because I haven't had too much to eat.

"I had a cheeseburger at about half two when I got to the hotel. It might explain why I might be slurring my words because I've had about eight pints in The Yellow Wall! I've got a new family, a family of friends, we all look after each other. I give them a few bob after half-time!"
