Jadon Sancho has remained coy over whether he will remain at Borussia Dortmund next term.

The Manchester United winger rejoined the Bundesliga side on loan in January after a public falling out with Erik ten Hag had seen him made unavailable for selection at Old Trafford. Sancho has been a regular at the Westfalenstadion since returning but enjoyed a limited impact with three goals and two assists across 17 appearances.

However, the 24-year-old drew rave reviews for his performance against PSG in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Wednesday night, which Dortmund won 1-0. The loanee became the first English player to produce more than 11 take-ons in a single match in Europe's premier competition, leaving questions over his future irresistible for reporters.

Ex-Manchester City youth Sancho, who previously spent four years Dortmund before completing a £73million move to United, admitted he was pleased to be back in Germany. However, the England star suggested he didn't know what the future holds.

He said (via the Mirror): "Obviously i came here at 17 and they gave me the opportunity to play professional football so I'm just delighted with all staff and players that welcome me back."

Former United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel then directly asked whether he would remain with the club. Sancho replied: "Who me? I really don't know. I'm just focused on the present right now."

The winger was also quizzed on the possibility of getting a nod for England's Euro 2024 squad this summer. "I take it game by game and performances like today I hope it carries on," he remarked.

Not only did Schmeichel get a piece of Sancho, but Jamie Carragher also had a chat on Wednesday night, albeit a bit tipsy. The ex-Liverpool ace confessed to being eight pints deep after mingling with fans in The Yellow Wall while working for CBS.

A drunk Jamie Carragher had Jadon Sancho in stitches

Carragher had his colleagues Micah Richards, Thierry Henry, and Alessandro Del Piero cracking up back in the studio as he went about his post-match analysis. When questioned if he was fit to be on air, Carragher joked: "That's actually a good point because I haven't had too much to eat.

"I had a cheeseburger at about half two when I got to the hotel. It might explain why I might be slurring my words because I've had about eight pints in The Yellow Wall! I've got a new family, a family of friends, we all look after each other. I give them a few bob after half-time!"
