Manchester United forward Anthony Martial returned to full training on Thursday following a 13-week lay-off.

The Frenchman underwent surgery on his groin in January, with United stating that he would be out for around ten weeks.

Martial, 28, has taken slightly longer to return from injury but he was able to participate in a full session today as United prepare to visit Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The former Monaco ace is set to leave the club at the end of the season, when his contract expires.

Martial has made 19 appearances this season, seven of which have come as starts. He’s scored twice.

The striker was joined by defender Jonny Evans, who has returned from three weeks out.

The Northern Irishman’s return will help ease United’s problems in defence, with Harry Maguire the only recognised fit centre-back in recent weeks.

Marcus Rashford remains sidelined after coming off in the FA Cup semi-final victory against Coventry.

Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw remain out, despite suggestions earlier this week that the Argentine and Englishman are back in training.
