Jonny Evans and Anthony Martial are back in training ahead of Manchester United's Premier League game away to Crystal Palace on Monday.

Evans has been sidelined for four weeks while Martial is four weeks behind schedule in his return from groin surgery. The Frenchman has not played for United since December 9.

United manager Erik ten Hag said last week Martial, Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez were due to resume team training this week after long-term lay-offs.

Shaw has been out with a hamstring problem since February 18 and Martinez has not played since March 30 due to a calf strain he sustained in training.

Tyrell Malacia (knee), Victor Lindelof (hamstring), Raphael Varane, Marcus Rashford and Willy Kambwala are also carrying injuries.

Evans, 36, and Martial, 28, are both out of contract next month. Martial is certain to be released after nine years with United but Evans has made a creditable 14 starts this season, having re-signed for his boyhood club after he was released by Leicester City.

Harry Maguire has been the only senior centre back available to Ten Hag in the last three games after Kambwala succumbed to injury on the eve of the FA Cup semi-final with Coventry City.
