Journalist rules out Arsenal as potential destination for exit-linked Manchester United superstar

Arsenal have been ruled out as a suitor for Manchester United superstar

There has been a lot of talk surrounding the future of Manchester United superstar, Marcus Rashford and Arsenal seems to be popping up in quite a lot of the headlines. There has been some speculation suggesting the Gunners could make a shock move this summer.

The Manchester-born star has failed to perform up to his standards this season. However, he is only 26-years-old so there is still a chance of him playing his way back into form. A change of scenery could prove to be massive and Arsenal have stood up as a candidate.

But, Fabrizio Romano doesn’t believe that Arsenal would be willing to take a risk on Marcus Rashford. His wages appear to be the biggest issue and the Journo can’t see the Gunners going near them. Let’s have a look at what else he had to say about the situation. (h/t The Daily Briefing)

“There’s not really been any links in terms of a transfer, but it seems to be a talking point amongst fans from time to time. We’ll have to wait and see if his future lies away from Old Trafford, but if he does go, I don’t see Arsenal as a possible destination. He’s on big wages and I just don’t see Arsenal going near them.”

Rashford added that Mikel Arteta can revitalise Rashford’s career but he doesn’t expect Arsenal to go anywhere near the Manchester-born star this summer. Moreover, as he said the 26-year-old’s future is still not decided.

There is no confirmation that the English forward will be leaving Old Trafford and talk suggests that Rashford is happy with Manchester United. So the chances of him leaving this season are pretty low.

Even if Marcus Rashford does end up leaving the Red Devils, it will most likely not be for Arsenal. Manchester United will probably not wish to sell their superstar to PL rivals.
