Manchester United have reportedly contacted 25-year-old Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo to inform him they are ready to launch an official bid for him.
According to a report by SPORT, as relayed by Sport Witness, Ronald Araujo is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Barcelona defensive mainstay is also a target for Bayern Munich. However, the Red Devils are ready to launch the offensive to sign the 25-year-old with an official bid in the summer transfer window.
Ronald Araujo and his skyrocketing stock
Ronald Araujo has been an excellent performer for Barcelona since arriving from Boston River in August 2018. The Uruguayan international had to bide his time before becoming a regular for the Blaugrana. But he has not looked back since establishing a foothold in the first-team squad a few years ago.
The 25-year-old is now one of the best defenders in the world and has become a vice-captain for Barcelona. Araujo has turned out nearly 150 times thus far for Barcelona, chipping in with eight goals and four assists. However, the player’s long-term future at the Catalan club is uncertain due to multiple reasons.
