Bologna manager Thiago Motta admitted he is yet to make a decision over his future as his contract comes to an end this summer.

Motta has been linked with Manchester United, should they decide to make a managerial change at the end of the season. Erik ten Hag's long-term future at Old Trafford remains uncertain after an underwhelming campaign.

Manchester Evening News understands owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is "not completely sold" on the Dutchman. United are still within reaching distance of fifth-placed Tottenham and still have the possibility of qualifying for the Europa League.

As for Bologna, they are set to finish in a higher position than last season's ninth. With two games remaining, they sit fourth in the table.

With Motta's future up in the air, he provided an update, saying: "Xabi Alonso made his choice, he had his reasons. We reached a moment where I have to underline we achieved something unexpected and unimaginable.

"We want to go all the way and qualify for the Champions League. That is the primary issue, my future or the future of individual players is irrelevant. At the right moment, we will sit down and see if we have the conditions to continue together or not continue together, but I will always do what is right for the club."

Other names are also being linked with the United job including Thomas Tuchel, who is claimed to have 'unfinished business' in the Premier League. He was briefly in charge of Chelsea before leaving Stamford Bridge due to a falling out with owner Todd Boehly.

Speaking about his future, Ten Hag is determined to be successful at Old Trafford despite links to former club Ajax. "I signed my contract and I am not a person who walks away," he said.

"So I assume that I will be at Manchester United next season. I was able to work there in a very pleasant way. It is a fascinating club with many possibilities."
