Greenwood completed a season-long loan move to the La Liga side on the final day of the 2023 summer transfer window.

In that time, the striker has made 32 appearances for Getafe, scoring 10 goals and offering six assists.

It's that sort of form that has led to Getafe opening talks to extend his stay in Spain.

While Greenwood is a player on Getafe's radar, there's an acceptance that a permanent move could be difficult to pull off.

The Man United man is attracting significant interest from around Europe, with the Red Devils keen to let him go.

The forward was suspended by the Red Devils in January 2022 after being arrested on suspicion of rape, assault and making threats to kill.

United launched their own internal investigation after the CPS dropped all charges against Greenwood in February 2023, leading to a statement confirming their plans to move him on.

Greenwood has just over 12 months remaining on his contract, meaning that this summer will be the last chance to attract a significant fee for the player.
