Erling Haaland fired four goals past Wolves to strengthen Man City's title aspirations.

The Norwegian star ran riot against Gary O'Neil's side to help them to a 5-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland's quadruple goal glut meant that he recorded the 21st hat-trick of his career and the sixth since moving to the Premier League almost two years ago.

Those hat-tricks saw the City star surpass a trio of Manchester United legends - Ruud van Nistelrooy, Robin van Persie and Dimitar Berbatov - in the Premier League record books.

Two of Haaland's efforts came from the penalty spot, with the other two coming from open play.

Those efforts meant that Haaland now has 25 Premier League goals this term, as well as 36 in all competitions.

While still a hugely impressive tally, it's still some way short of last season's staggering tally of 52 goals in all competitions.

His efforts moved Man City back to within a point of Arsenal at the top of the table following their 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

However Pep Guardiola's side crucially still have a game in hand, meaning that they hold the cards in the Premier League title race.

Next up for Man City are trips to face Fulham and Tottenham, before facing West Ham at home on the final day of the season.
