Two former Manchester United goalkeepers have just interacted on social media after Monday night’s 4-0 loss at Selhurst Park.

Erik ten Hag let three Manchester United goalkeepers go, and right now, it’s difficult to see how the three could be worse than Andre Onana.

Matej Kovar was sold to Bayer Leverkusen for peanuts where he’s on to win the treble, Dean Henderson is now starring in a red-hot Crystal Palace side and David de Gea is without a club but that likely changes this summer.

All three let go for a fraction of what Onana cost, and the Cameroonian hasn’t given the club their money’s worth at all.

Now De Gea and Henderson have interacted on Instagram after Crystal Palace beat United 4-0.

David de Gea likes Dean Henderson’s message on Instagram

Monday night was a horrific result for Ten Hag’s team as Henderson kept a clean sheet against his former side.

After the game, the player with 29 appearances for United took to social media, celebrating the win for his current side.

“Unbelievable result!! This team”, followed by a fire emoji and three others which spelt out “soon on top”.

It’s fair to see Henderson celebrating considering he certainly feels like he was mistreated in his time at the club, but liking his post was De Gea.

The Spaniard and arguable Old Trafford legend was among those liking the post which celebrated the thrashing of his former side.

The two players while not stated, probably were thinking the same thing after this result which saw Onana concede his 52nd, 53rd, 54th and 55th goal of this Premier League campaign.

Henderson and De Gea will have the same response to what’s going on at Manchester United

The two former United men will both be feeling the same way about United right now as they watch Onana struggle.

Despite neither really doing enough to warrant the position themselves, they will be thinking they surely wouldn’t do worse.

De Gea, in particular, has left a few subtle hints this season that he’s not impressed with Onana, such as some X comments in late 2023.

Having only just signed Onana, United have a problem as they won’t be able to replace him this summer.

For now, the only hope is that he thrives with a better system ahead of him, something we are all desperate to see next year under Ten Hag or otherwise.
