Last summer, the Ligue 1 winners exercised the buyback clause to bring the winger back to the club from PSV Eindhoven, and immediately sent him out on loan to RB Leipzig.
Prior to the 21-year-old’s move to Germany, Manchester United made an effort to sign him.
It’s claimed Erik ten Hag’s side made a €60m bid for the Dutchman and the Paris club had ‘already agreed a deal’ with the Red Devils. However, the move didn’t materialse because the player didn’t want to make a switch to Old Trafford.
His fine displays have clearly not gone unnoticed as recent claims have linked him with a move back to Barcelona in the summer window. Bild relay it and then explain that Leipzig are fighting to retain the attacker beyond this season.
