JACK BUTLAND has lifted the lid on his run-in with a Rangers fan after the weekend's clash with Kilmarnock.

Footage shared on social media showed the Gers keeper appearing to react angrily to something said to him by a supporter in the area.

Quizzed for the first time on the matter, he said that things were said that "weren't acceptable", "especially in front of children".

But he said he had moved on from the matter, with his focus fully on Saturday's make-or-break Premiership clash with Celtic.

He said: "When you have a Rangers family as big as it is, and you are there with your own kids yourself sometimes, people overstep the mark sometimes.

"Especially in front of children and things aren't acceptable.

"But that has been addressed, we have moved on from it and I have no concerns moving forward.

"It's always a situation which people are going to try to make something out of.

"Wherever you go, wherever you have tensions you have people who want and expect everything from people they don't always know what is going on half the time.

"But to be honest that is just part and parcel of football.

"It's not what this week is all about, what tomorrow is all about. I think it has been put to bed many days ago so it's o concern for me anymore"

Butland was seen reacting angrily to something apparently said to him by a supporter waiting in the area - around the same time as a fan also had a difference of opinion with his team-mate Borna Barisic.

In the video, a man - it's unclear if it's the same fan Butland confronts - can be heard saying: "You want to sign my top, pal?"

Former England and Man Utd stopper Butland then comes into shot.

It's unclear what was said to seemingly provoke the Gers keeper, but he can be heard replying: "That's fine. I stop every single time. Every single time.

"I've stopped every week. Every week."

The less than impressed keeper then walks off out of shot back towards where the cars are parked.

The fan can he be heard telling Butland "Jack, but I pay your wages" as he leaves.

Another fan in the background can be heard agreeing with the shot-stopper, saying: "He stays every week. Every week."
