Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Mason Mount will miss Sunday's Premier League clash with Arsenal through injury.

Mount suffered a problem in training on Thursday and will now miss the visit of the Londoners as a result. He was hoping to earn a second consecutive start after ending his long wait for a Premier League start against Crystal Palace earlier this week.

Ten Hag, however, was able to provide more positive news on the injury front, confirming that Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford have all trained ahead of Sunday's game. McTominay and Fernandes both missed the trip to Palace while Rashford has missed the last three games.

Elsewhere, Lisandro Martinez is not expected to be risked against the Gunners despite training with the rest of the main group this week. Ten Hag has confirmed the Argentine wants to play but it is too early to throw him straight back in.

Meanwhile, the Dutchman addressed his future, insisting that he 'doesn't care' if Ineos provide clarity over his position as manager or not.

FULL STORY: Ten Hag addresses Ineos' silence on his future as United boss

Erik ten Hag has suggested it would be in everyone's interests for United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe to provide clarity on his position as manager at Old Trafford.

Ineos has declined to offer public assurances that Ten Hag will remain in charge of United beyond the end of this season. The Dutchman is under mounting pressure after a disappointing campaign.

He told reporters this lunchtime:

"I don't care if they do or they don't [provide clarity], I'm working on improving and developing my team, that is my job here."

That's a wrap!

That concludes the open part of Erik ten Hag's pre-Arsenal press conference. We will have more reaction for you on the MEN website throughout the day.

Ten Hag praises Arsenal ace Rice

"He's a very good player. He would absolutely have fitted here."

Ten Hag asked if he would prefer Ineos to issue a statement providing clarity on his position

"This question you have to make to the owners, not to me. This is your opinion [that he would prefer a public show of support]. You have to put the question to them."

Ten Hag asked if he worries for his job as United manager

"No. The [owners] have common sense. You see when we have 32 different back lines, we've used 13 partnerships in centre half, when they see we don’t have a left back, they know that will have a negative impact on results. It's a huge FA Cup final. We are happy to be there. It can be a highlight for this season. We know the reasons we are underperforming is because of the injuries. No team will perform when you have so many injuries in key areas."

Ten Hag confirms double midfield boost

"Bruno [Fernandes] was on the pitch and Scott McTominay was on the pitch, so there are some players returning."

Ten Hag confirms Shaw setback

"Luke Shaw had a setback in his process as well but there is still a hope and he will fight to be available for the [FA Cup] final."

Ten Hag confident Rashford will be available vs Arsenal

“Rashy [Marcus Rashford], of course, he trained this morning as well, and we have to see how he recovered from this. But I think it looks quite good and I hope he can tomorrow make the next training and then see if he is available for Sunday."

Ten Hag on Martinez

"Yesterday, Licha [Lisandro Martinez] came to me and wanted to play on Sunday against Arsenal but he's not ready yet, he needs a little bit more time to go through the process, but he is so desperate."

Martinez latest

Erik ten Hag has said Lisandro Martinez has asked to play against Arsenal this weekend but he will not be risked just yet.

Ten Hag issues team news update

Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford have trained ahead of Sunday's game.

Mason Mount, however, has suffered another injury. He has described it as being 'very unlucky'.

OPINION: United boss Ratcliffe might look at Arsenal and see his perfect Ten Hag plan

"Injuries are an issue, but the same weaknesses visible in United in the autumn are still there now the sun is out again. That is never going to be a good look for a manager and after the 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace on Monday, the chances of Erik ten Hag surviving are slim. Slim, but not impossible. He could yet win the FA Cup final, or gain positive results against Arsenal and Newcastle this week. Those making the decision at Old Trafford might decide the lack of an obvious candidate to replace him makes change a risk that isn't worth taking. And maybe they decide that this season is actually just a write-off and the good work of his first campaign shouldn't be tossed away. United need a project manager and in Ten Hag they have someone who seemed to fit the bill a year ago."

Below is a quick reminder of United's four remaining fixtures:

Brailsford pushing for new United training ground

As reported by the Manchester Evening News earlier this morning, Ineos sporting director Sir David Brailsford believes United need to relocate to a new training ground.

Brailsford, who visited Carrington several times before Ineos announced they had agreed a deal to secure a minority investment in United on Christmas Eve, does not believe the current site is good enough for a club of United's stature. He believes they should be striving for much better.

It is understood that he does not believe Carrington is suitable as a base for an elite-level sports club.
