Erik ten Hag slams Manchester United players' lack of hunger vs Brentford

Erik ten Hag lambasted Manchester United players for showing a lack of hunger in their 4-0 trouncing by Brentford and said he would have changed the entire team at half-time if he could have.

United stooped to a new low in their recent history by heading into half-time 4-0 down at the Community Stadium after a four-goal glut in 25 minutes. Ten Hag has become the first United manager to lose his first two games since John Chapman in 1921 and his management has already come under intense scrutiny.

David de Gea gives verdict on 'horrible' Manchester United performance after 4-0 Brentford defeat

David de Gea has admitted Saturday was a 'horrible day' after Manchester United were humiliated against Brentford.

United were defeated by Brighton on the opening day of the season and a response was expected against Brentford, but Erik ten Hag's side regressed again and they were shell-shocked at the Community Stadium, losing 4-0 after a spineless performance.

After De Gea's blunder gifted Brentford the lead within 10 minutes, United were unnerved and they never recovered. De Gea made another mistake for Brentford's second goal and the London club scored another two before half-time arrived.
