Four of Manchester United’s midfielders and forwards have been selected for the official Carabao Cup team of the first leg.
Midfielders Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes were selected in the midfield alongside Southampton player Ibrahima Diallo. Casemiro put in a reliable usual shift, Bruno Fernandes scored and contributed significantly to the win for Erik Ten Hag’s side.

Behind them is a whole United defence with Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan Bissaka and David De Gea, as Kaif Khan wrote earlier today.
Wout Weghorst and Marcus Rashford were both included in the 11 after scoring against Nottingham Forest yesterday in their 3-0 away win at the City Ground.
The two United forwards are joined by Newcastle United Brazilian player Joelinton. Manchester United still need to play their second leg against Forest at Old Trafford next Wednesday as they are one game away from competing in the final at Wembley on the 26th of February.
