could face strong competition from for Tottenham striker following appointment at the Bundesliga champions. According to reports in Germany, Tuchel taking charge of the Bavarians could have a ‘seismic’ impact on Kane’s future.

Come the summer, Kane will have just 12 months remaining on his Spurs contract. That would give the England captain far more power to demand a departure than he did when he tried to leave in the summer of 2021.

It has been assumed that United would have a free run at Kane should they want to sign the 29-year-old in the summer. had a £100million bid rejected two years ago but have now signed Erling Haaland.

But it now seems that Bayern could be strong contenders to complete a big-money transfer at the end of the campaign. And that reportedly has a lot to do with the appointment of Tuchel, who has previously gone public in admitting he is a big fan of Kane.

According to German journalist Christian Falk, Tuchel’s arrival at Bayern has increased their chances of beating other clubs to his signature. Bayern will apparently gift the 49-year-old with a major signing and that could be the capture of Kane.

“Tuchel will have one shot – that could be an expensive one! This could now be Harry Kane,” Falk wrote in his column for Caught Offside.

“When a new manager is coming in, of course, there’s the likelihood of players going out in addition to coming in.

“He wants a lot of players, so they have to get money in. Ultimately, the chance to get Kane in is bigger now that Tuchel has joined the club and I think there will be something in the summer now.”

Tuchel lavished Kane with praise when Chelsea were linked with a move for Tottenham and England’s record scorer in 2021. The German said: "If you find any coach around the world who would not like to have Harry Kane in his team, call me. I would like to speak with the guy and hear about his ideas of scoring and attacking.

"Everybody loves Harry Kane but let's be very, very clear - he is a player for Tottenham. He has a long-term contract and we will not get involved in any press conference with any disrespectful comments about that."

United are likely to want to sign a new striker this summer, with Kane one of the main contenders to become Erik ten Hag’s new No 9. Kane will be 30 by the time next season begins, which could prompt the Red Devils to sign a younger attacker.
